This morning I came across an article about money and spirituality. Last night I watched a Bill Moyer’s special, http://www.pbs.org/moyers/journal/07032009/profile.html, on PBS about the same.
This morning, as I wrote down a few sentences from the article with
my favorite pen on a big open sheet of white paper, I noticed the money symbol. I associated theĀ ”S” with the first letter of my last name. And the two vertical lines scoring the letter represented my two children, Ella and Isaac, and their role in connecting the top to the bottom. The crown to the root. The atmospheric to the earthly.
One of the sentences that I copied from the article was this:
Debt measures how much more you have taken from life than given to life.
And another was this:
Money to sustain yourself keeps you grounded and connected with meeting the true needs of society.
Independence Day can be a good day to look in the mirror.
